摘　　要：In 1989, the Yaojiaquan site in Songjiang county, Shanghai city, was excavated by the Archaeology Section, Shanghai Municipal Commission for the Preservation of Ancient Monuments. Stratigraphically the site falls into four layers: the first and second are surface soil and disturbed deposits respectively, while the third and fourth are cultural layers. Among the finds are pottery, stone and bone artifacts, as well as animal and plant remains. According to stratigraphical evidence and unearthed objects, the site can be divided into two phases. The first phase of remains belongs to the classic Songze culture and is represented by the AⅠ and B Ⅰ subtypes of ding (tripod), A and B types and CI subtype of dou (stemmed vessel) bowl, A type of dou stem, AⅡ subtype of cup and B Ⅰ subtype of jar. Phase Ⅱ is the direct continuation of Phase Ⅰ ; its representatives include the AⅡ and BⅡ subtypes of ding, CⅡ subtype of dou bowl, B type of dou stem, A Ⅳ and AV subtypes of cup base, and BⅡ subtype of jar. In this period, some characteristic features of the Songze culture still existed, and a few distinctive traits of the Liangzhu culture came into being, which suggest the transitional stage from the Songze to the Liangzhu culture.
